For baby beds, the smaller standard size is 60x120 cm. Alternatively, there are cots in the size 70 x 140 cm. Choose this "smaller size" if you want to have a small bed where the "jump" from the cradle or side bed should not be too big.
Advantages of a 60x120 baby bed: Your baby may not feel so lost in the first months. The cot takes up less space in the room and can even be placed in the parents' bedroom.
Disadvantages: You will need a larger bed sooner. The smaller baby bed cannot be converted, unlike the other size.
